Mungo was wide eyed with fear. And then the sudden shock of being knocked over nearly made his eyes pop out his head! Nearly made him piss himself as well. He remained silent, whether he chose to, or was just too afraid to speak was uncertain. His mind flipped in and out of reality, but was snapped back when he heard Rumpleteazer. He was a bit out of it and didn't understand what she was saying, but it seemed to be enough to buy him some time. He planned his escape in his mind until a strange sensation came over him. Was he being... hugged? This was quite awkward.

Rumple's breath caught in her throat when he said their names. She stared, not daring to breathe. The pause felt like an eternity, and she jumped when Chris squealed. A moment later, she started laughing weakly, sinking into a crouch where she buried her face in her hands as the laughter escalated into mild hysterics.
Between bouts of hysterical laughter, she managed to look up at Chris and Mungo, shaking her head. "No, sorry.... sorry Chris. It's just-" She broke off, overwrought with the stress and terror. "It's just.... We thought you was gonna kill us wi'out even blinkin'."
She fell back, sitting on the ground and hugging her knees, still shaking with her hysterics. "Ya can't blame us fer bein' scared. Yer downright terrifyin' at times." Oh, Everlasting Cat, thank goodness Chris was in one of his cheerful moods now. Hell, he could be the nicest bloke if you didn't get on his bad side. She was infinity grateful that it was Chris, with all his quick mood changed, who found them, but she couldn't let her guard down.
Rumple took deep breaths, trying to get herself under control. "Love ya too, Chris. I think Jerrie's in shock, though..." she mused, slowly pushing herself up to stand.

Mungojerrie grasped at his chest. His heart was pounding almost painfully. His side was cramping due to his irregular breathing and sharp gasps. After his mind cleared out a bit, he realized what was going on. "Oi! Get offa me ya 'omo! I'm naked and yer 'uggin me! Thats weird!" He tried to pry Chris off of him and get away. He slipped out of his arms and ran to Rumple's side. He hid behind her, putting his hands on her shoulder and peeking around her head. He gave a joking hiss and swatted at Chris.

Chris' tail swished a little too happily even as he was pushed back before just about bouncing up and down in place excitedly, a part of his temperament that lay buried for quite some time.
"Neh, neh, neh, neh, NEH! What are you guys doing here? I thought you were DEAD. Or WORSE!"

Styx stood behind a few of the others, hidden by shadows and staring in disbelief.
"Why won't that idiot gut them?!" He growled quietly.

Rumple shrugged, still elated at the sudden turn of events. "Oh, the usual. Raidin' houses, gettin' in trouble.... Today it's Jerrie's idea, 'bothah the Pollicles and get lost'. Ain't 'e jus' brilliant?"
She giggled, ruffling through her headfur, still a bit damp from sweating during their run. "How've you been? It's been forevah!" The urgent need to escape had subsided for now, leaving only a minor concern about her lack of clothing. Self-consciously, she crossed her arms over her chest. At least being flat as a board was good for something.

Mungojerrie stayed behind Rumple and simply let her talk for awhile. That is until something made his ears twitch. He thought he had heard a noise. Stepping away from his sister he began to look around, trying to find the source of the noise. It had been quiet, but he had heard it all right. His nose crinkled up at a new scent in the air. They weren't alone. "Oi, I think we 'ave a visitor," he mentioned, still searching around with his eyes. There were always spies laying in wait. There was always someone who would stab you in the back. There were eyes always watching. One could never really be alone in a place like this. Alone, or safe.
