Exotica sat in front of her box, her tail laying in the shade behind her. Her black fur absorbed the heat and it made her feel so good, so alive. She flicked her tail around beside her and stretched it with a final twitch.
The sun was shining, the air was rich with the smell of metal and she ... she was ready for adventure.
One step in front of the other, intentional, attention seeking. A little hop in to the next step to bounce her tail without looking TOO much like she wanted you to come. But who could resist a flicking tail?
What grand games and stories today?

Kamaria was mostly a mature queen, but she still had a kittenish streak, and today, she was feeling playful. Today, she was Up To No Good.
She decided to go looking for Exotica. The two exotic queens made for a quite striking pair, and Kamaria pretty much considered the dark queen her best friend, her sister.
Peeking around the back of Exotica's box, Kamaria grinned with impish glee when she saw the queen had her back to the younger queen, tail bouncing on the ground. Oh, it was too good to resist. Kamaria crouched down, wiggled her bum in the hair, then launched herself into the air, pouncing on Exotica's tail.

Exotica paused, tail pinned. She turned slowly, ominously toward the younger cat behind her. She stared, flat, dead, even. Fur between her shoulder blades started to rise just ever .. so .. slightly.
AND POUNCED!

Kamaria flailed with a loud squeak when the older queen pounced her. Pinned to the ground, she chuckled, grinning widely.
"Dang, you got me."

Exotica leaned down and rubbed her ebony fur against Kamaria, the gold and black creating a lovely juxtapose of color. She sidestepped to allow Kamaria freedom of movement again.
Tail twitching with energy, the bengal beauty looked at her friend, eye glowing from the brilliant sun and said,
"Well, Kam. That was a good sneak. I'm off to explore or some odd. I haven't decided yet. Are you going to join me?"
Without waiting for a response, Exotica twisted herself around and took off as fast as she could toward the tire pile.

Kamaria grinned even wider.
"Always," she said, and tore after her friend, trying to overtake her, turning it into a race. She pretty much always lost these things, but she enjoyed initiating it anyway, because it was fun, and usually resulted in squeals, laughter and playful shoving.

Exotica gave a little hop with her hind feet, bouncing her butt up in the air and flagging her tail. She loved a good race, though she preferred to have a relaxed one. All out gallops were reserved for bad dogs and ... Macavity.
She turned quickly and tore off over the top of a tire that hadn't quite made it to the stack. Reaching the top, the rubber circle wobbling unsteadily, she scrunched up and fired herself from the top.
Gravel crunched as the tire started to collapse behind her from the kick.

Kamaria giggled, bouncing along right behind Exotica. It was a nice, sunny day, and Kamaria was feeling energetic.
Quickly sidestepping the falling tyre, she launched herself after Exotica.
"So, where are we going?" she asked, coming up alongside the darker queen.

Exotica turned her head, looking at her golden friend. She leaned her back and forth, back and forth.
"I don't know. Just yet," she replied, ear twitching. "I know that we are going somewhere ADVENTUROUS." The last word was emphasized with a step forward. She strode along the boxes and cans, head high and ready for whatever could come.
Just as she reached the top of the junk pile, she heard a low growl from below them ...

"Adventurous. I'm game for that," Kamaria said with a grin, tail twitching, leaning a little into Exotica.
She nearly lost her footing when she skidded to a halt at the top of the junk pile. Growling. Great. Why did she always run into dogs in a foul mood?
"Erm. Let's not go that way? I don't fancy being chased by dogs today," she said, eyeing the big dog below them. Those were some big teeth...

Exotica smiled ... her teeth flashing in the sunlight. She sat back a little and pushed her foot out towards a can. Toes wriggling and stretching, she got close, close, closecloseclosethere!
The can fell over the side of the pile, clanking on the way down. Bang .... wait ... bang, thunk! A dull thud as the can contacted with the dog's head.
The bengal rolled over on her back, hands on her mouth, laughter spasming through her body.

Kamaria watched her friend, blue eyes twinkling, impish grin on her face.
She snorted a laugh when the can made contact with the dog's head, the dog letting out a surprised yelp and backing up a little.
"Take that, you big ugly mutt!" she called down to the disgruntled dog, still giggling.

Picking up another can and holding it above her head, Exotica threw it down at the dog. It can gave a resounding, satisfying thud as it hit him on the nose. He dog yelped and took off.
"That's right, you mangy mutt! You don't mess with Exotica and Kamaria!" She threw her arm around her friend's shoulders and gave her a quick squeeze-hug. "Haha! We should chase him down and throw more things! COME ON!"
She let go and bounced away, following the dog from across the tops of the junk piles.

Kamaria laughed, and slipped her arm around Exotica's waist, returning the hug.
Aaaand then she tore of. Oh boy. Eh well, once Exotica got an idea into her head, you might as well just smile, nod and follow along. No use arguing, she was gonna do it anyway.
Besides, chasing a dog was far better than being chased by one. Also, hilarious.
She bounded along after her friend, always the follower, never the leader. She preferred things that way, anyway.

The dog turned. The garbage didn't follow.
Exotica made a quick decision and took a burst down the side of the pile, heading for the empty walkway the humans had made on the bottom. She couldn't see where the dog had gone around the corner and she was NOT going to lose him.
As she hit the bottom, she slipped on a muddied piece of plastic and tumbled out in to a puddle. She turned back up at Kamaria, laughing, mud smear down one side of her face.
She didn't hear the quiet pad ... pad ... pad ...

"Pfff, nice look there, girl," she laughed, poking her tongue out at Exotica.
She reached out to her, offering her a hand up. Her ears twitched as she heard a soft padding behind her. Turning her head slowly, she could see the dog out of the corner of her eye. Headed straight for them.
"This was exactly what I wanted to avoid," Kamaria grumbled, hauling Exotica to her feet, then tearing off back towards the fence and the rubbish pile beyond.

Exotica hightailed her feet as fast as they would go up the side of the pile. It wasn't fast enough though.
The dog jumped and caught the tip of her tail, ripping hairs out. She fell down the pile half way and started clawing at it again to make her way back up. Her breath came out in pants, half crying mewls as she dug desperately at the assorted junk under her.
As she made it near the top, the dog jumped again. She could feel the steam of his breath on the back of her feet.

Kamaria yelped in shock when the dog pulled Exotica down. Funtime had definitely gone byebye. Looking around frantically, Kamaria spotted a piece of old pipe. She grabbed it and threw it as hard as she could at the face of the dog.
"Stay the fuck away from my best friend, you dirty mongrel!" she yelled, fear mixing with anger.
She grabbed another mangled piece of metal and lobbed it at the dog, trying to make it back off.

The dog was phased by the pipe that hit it and the clang of it hitting the ground. He yelped and sat back down, rubbing a paw over his face. Exotica took this opportunity to reach up and pull herself over the edge of a pile and hide behind a shoe. She stuck her head in under the tongue and paused, listening for the dog.
His paws smucked a little on the mud as he walked away.
Exotica peered out from behind the shoe. Seeing the dog was gone, she looked up at Kamaria, grin pasted back on her face. "That was fun!" she excitedly exclaimed. "Let's do it again!"

Kamaria glared as the dog padded off. Good riddance.
She wheeled around and stared incredulously at Exotica.
"Are you serious?! Weren't you frightened? He could've killed you!"

Rumpel had watched the two sleek queens from afar. Admiring with green eyes their smooth hair and angled faces. She ran her fingers through her own hair, wrinkling her nose at the realisation that it was again, a mess. It was always a mess, scruffy was how she was. 'Stupid freckles and stupid stripes' she thought to herself. She sighed but continued to watch as the pair made a game of pushing things off over a ledge, she couldn't ignore as she realised what it was they were up to. Pollicle abuse was definately in her best interests. She had jumped to her feet and ran towards them at a break neck speed when she had seen how Exotica was in trouble and now here she was, looking a fool, chest heaving and head pounding from the run and there wasn't even any danger.
"Killed?" she tried to keep her voice under controll as she gained back her breath. "Dog like that? Naw, small thing like that would gum you to death! I'll show you a pollicle if you want? Real big one with scary eyes like Black Shuck himself! She made claw like motions with her hands in the air to emphasize her words.

Kamaria turned around in surprise when Rumpleteazer appeared. She hadn't noticed they were being watched, at all. Well, she shouldn't be surprised, really. It was Rumple, after all. The Queen of Stealth. She grinned.
"Quick, but not quick enough, Rumpleteazer!" Kamaria teased, still grinning at the heaving, panting queen.
"Hmm, I guess I did overreact a bit," she admitted when Rumpleteazer downplayed the danger. Still though. Even small dogs could cause damage if they got a good enough hold of ya, and, well, Kamaria was quite protective of Exotica. Even if the darker queen was older than her.
"Don't give her any ideas, now!" she said and eyed Exotica suspiciously.

Exotica lifted her tail and head in the air haughtily. "Whatever do you mean, Kamaria? Ideas! Why ... the sheer thought!"
Her eyes glittered with that tell tale sign that this was just the thing for her. Just the newest adventure in a long line of fearful excitement. Not that she would admit the fearful part. She got a rush on the adrenaline, but would never let anyone know just how terrified she had been.
She leaned over to Rumpelteazer and brushed her tail against the disheveled queen. "And .... what pollicle did you have in mind?" she purred innocently.

Rumpel smirked, she didn't think that Exotica would really be interested in the pollicle, didn't peg her as the type at all. "I'm not sure if we should...you know...he is a big'un, I wouldn't want to get either of you in any sort of danger..." She walked past the pair as if to head away but stopped, pausing to turn and look at them both. "I mean, I was going there anyway." She twitched her nose to hide another little smirk.

Exotica lifted her head and followed after Rumpleteazer excitedly.
"A big one, you say? Oh my, I am intrigued." She giggled somewhat ditzily, still high on the rush of defeating the last dog. "I am all for this game," she burst out loudly, blasting past the calico. She bounded up on top of a box and looked down on her friends.
"Well, we should hurry before the rain comes!" and pointed at the dark clouds for emphasis.

Kamaria let out an exasperated sigh. A big pollicle, and a chance of rain? Why did she always end up in these situations?
She glared at Rumpleteazer, although it wasn't a serious glare, just a silly one.
"trouble really is your middle name, isn't it?"

"Oh it sure is" she whispered and hoisted herself onto the box with Exotica. "We just need a few things. You know, fuel for the fire. Whats the point in finding the beast if we can't rile him up?"
She scanned the surrounding area carefully for objects small enough to carry but decent enough to use as projectiles. Spotting a small over turned box nearby she jumped down and walked towards it. On the floor spilling out from the box labled 'washers' were small circular disks with holes in them. She picked up one and threw it as far as she could in a safe direction,it clanged loudly against the back of a nearby car and bounced to the floor. She picked up a second and repeated the throw with more accuracy and care. It hit the wing mirror and the glass cracked to form a spider web. Satisfied with her tiny act of vandalism Rumpel picked up more of the washers and stuffed them into her sockbag for safe keeping. She looked up, remembering that she was with company, "well come on then. Grab something and lets go!"

Kamaria grinned. Oh, what the hey. Shenanigans were about to happen, she might as well have fun with it. She jumped down after Rumpleteazer, and picked a washer up, tossing it in the air, catching it again and then threw it, sort of like a frisbee. It hit something in the distance with a satisfying clunk. Nice. They went pretty far!
She scooped up a handful, and then realized she had nowhere to put them.
"Hmm. I could use a sock, too," she said, scratching behind her ear, trying to figure out a clever way to carry more stuff with her. Hmmm.

Rumple rolled her eyes and grunted "Well, we can tell you weren't in the Girl Guides. Be prepaired blah blah. You never know when you need to conceil objects. Here" She opened up her sock and held it out indicating for Kamaria to drop her washers in.

Kamaria poked her tongue out at Rumpleteazer. "I didn't go to Troublemaker School. I don't usually get into this sort if pre-planned trouble!" she scoffed, although with a badly concealed smile.
She dropped some more washers into Rumpleteazer's sock, and then turned to Exotica.
"Hey slow-poke, you're the one who wanted adventure. You coming or what?"
