Mungo watched carefully as the owner locked up the cash register and all the jewelery cases. Not much longer... The man went around turning off all the lights and closing all the curtains before he went to the front door. He pressed a button next to the burglar alarm causing thick steel bars to come down from the ceiling and block off the windows. He checked once more to make sure everything was in order before punching a code into the alarm system, locking the door, and leaving. The calico waited a few moments after the man left before leaving his hiding spot. A wide grin was plastered across his face. He cracked his knuckles and looked around at all the jewelery cases.

Quaxo held his breath as the man locked the place up, wow, this seems way too easy! He got up, almost afraid to move but smiling broadly, "is that it? No lasers or super systems that we have to hack or anything?" OK, maybe he'd watched a few too many action movies with his former owners, but still, that's the way a heist is supposed to work isn't it?

Jerrie laughed, "Hahaha, nope, it just really is this easy. Why do ya think Rumple n' I do it? I fer one don't like doin' anythin' difficult." He hopped up on top of the counter and eyed all the shinies in the cases. He clawed at the glass a bit to weaken it before pounding on it with his fist. Not the most graceful of ways to rob someone blind, but it worked. The glass shattered and Mungo skillfully reached his hand inside the case and pulled out a few rings and bracelets.

Quaxo gaped at Mungo before jumping up beside him, "that's not very low key is it?" He looked into the case and his eyes lit up, the beautiful things, they were all there, and no-on was around to stop the two cats taking whatever they wanted. He reached down into the case grabbing a gold chain and giving it to Mungo.
"This one looks like it matches pretty well yeah?"

Mungo took a look at the chain Quaxo found, "Oh yeah! Its great!" He smiled brightly, "Ya wanna 'elp me put it on?"

Quaxo nodded, walking around Mungo, grabbing the chain, doing up the clasp and letting it fall around the calico's neck. He walked back around so he was facing Mungo, and admired the chain, "oh yeah, definitely very nice." He glanced around the shop, "so what should we do now? Should we get more stuff?" He grinned at the prospect, later on he might find it a bit worrisome how easily he took to thievery, but right now he was having way too much fun to think about it.

"Take as much as ya want~" Mungo smiled as grabbed a few brooches, "Or, well, as much as ya can carry." He jumped down from the counter and shoved some of the trinkets in his deep pockets. "Just so ya know, the alarm will go off when we open the door, so thats when ya start runnin' like 'ell."

Quaxo nodded gleefully, jumping from the case they were at and moving instead to one full of rings. He attempted to use the same method to open the case as Mungo had, but only really succeeded in causing a shooting pain to rush through him via his fist. He yelped out in pain, cradling his hand and looking pitifully over to Mungo, "I don't think I'm as good at this as you are."

Mungo chuckled lightly and went over to help Quaxo. "Its all in the wrist~" he cooed, smashing his hand down against the glass. Really, the wrist didn't have much to do with it. Years of bloody knuckles and calloused hands, thats really what solved the problem. The glass cracked and collapsed. "You totally weakened it fer me," Mungo assured, not wanting Quaxo to feel weak or something.

Quaxo smiled, happy that Mungo seemed to be insistent on keeping the black cat's pride intact, but knowing that he wasn't telling the entire truth. "So," he said, "you work out your wrist a lot do ya?" He winked at the calico, falling on his knees and reaching down into the case to grab a couple of rings that caught his eye and sticking them in his pockets, maybe Kam and Puck would like them.

Mungo blushed and pouted at Quaxo's comment. "Whats that supposed ta mean?" he questioned. He reached over and ruffled the cat's purple hair before moving over to the case containing the pearls. Pearl earrings, bracelets, and necklaces were layed out and ready for the taking. Little did anyone know, but he enjoyed pearls almost as much as his sister did. He used his method to open up the case. He plucked out a series of pearl necklaces and looped them around his neck for easy transport.

"Oh," Quaxo teased, "those are very you." He moved over to where Mungo was, looking over the necklace and into the case. "Those are pretty though, I can see why your sister always wears them." He glanced around the store, "so is there anything else that catches your fancy? Or should I be preparing to run soon?"

"Start yer breathin' excersizes now," Mungo suggested. He stretched down to touch his toes; his trinkets jingled and clattered. He then lifted his arms over his head and cracked his back. He smiled and looked at Quaxo, "The only other thing 'ere cathchin' my fancy is you." He stuck his tounge out playfully and walked to the door. "Alright, when I open the door up, just run. It doesn't matter where ya go, ya just need ta get out of the area. Don't worry 'bout stickin' by me or anythin', just go 'ide somewhere, kay?"

Quaxo smiled, "my goodness you are quite the charmer aren't you?"
At Mungo's next words though he looked a little worried, "but...how will I find you again if I get separated from you?" Quaxo didn't really know his way around town and wasn't exactly confident that he could find Mungo's home again by himself.

"If ya can't find me, I'll find you," he stated. He readied himself at the door, "Though, if we run the same direction, we shouldn't get split up too badly." He smiled and patted Quaxo head. "Ready?" he asked. He reached to the small latch that locked the door. He flipped it so it unlocked. He then shoved his shoulder into the door and it flew open. The alarm started to go off almost immediately. Mungo dashed off and out the door. He ran a bit slower than he normally did, as to make sure he didn't get too far away from Quaxo.

Quaxo smiled back, though the nervousness on his face was clear, whatever Mungo said, he was worried.
He nodded at Mungo's question, prepping himself to run, as the door sprung open he sprinted as fast as his legs would take him, staying in line with Mungo. Thank God for adrenaline.

Mungo's ears twitched as he began to hear police car sirens in the distance. He'd never gotte caught before, and he had no idea what would actually happen if he were caught. He was a cat afterall, not a human who could go to jail. If caught, the worst that could probably happen would be having his treasures taken away, and possibly being taken to the pound. Nevertheless, he wasn't going to stick around to find out. The pearls around his neck and the trinkets in his pocket jingled and clacked loudly as he ran. His eyes darted around, searching for a spot to hide.

Quaxo just kept running. He looked back at the sound of sirens and by the time he had looked forward again he had lost sight of his calico partner in crime.
Oh God
He ran for the next alley he saw, ducking into it and hiding behind a trash can. Now he was scared. Mungo was somewhere that he was not in a city that he didn't know, full of cats, dogs, humans, and who knows what else, that could be dangerous and the sun was starting to set.
Now he was scared.

By chance, Mungo looked back to see if Quaxo was still with him. His heart stopped a moment seeing that he wasn't. He skidded to a stop and frantically started looking from side to side. His heart pounded rapidly. No no no no, he couldn't lose Quaxo. He opened his mouth to call out the cat's name, but then decided against it. He couldn't risk himself being caught, then there would be no chance for poor Quaxo.

Quaxo sat, attempting to calm himself, Mungo said he would find me...if I got lost he said he would find me. He decided that the best thing to do would be to stay still. The sun was getting lower though, and the alley getting darker.
He sat...he waited...he held back tears...he hadn't been on the street at night for a very long time, he didn't remember what to do.
Mungo, come get me.

The calico slinked around, ducking behind something whenever a person would walk by. He had to find Quaxo. He knew the area well enough to know where all the good hiding spots were, but would Quaxo have chosen a good spot? Plus, there where just so many places to crawl behind. Maybe... just maybe if he could get Quaxo's attention without causing any interest from the humans. Mungo quickly found a tree in a small grassy area in the middle of town. He climbed up and hid amongst the foliage. Once out of sight he called out, "Quaxo! Quaxo! Where are you!?" in a language the humans couldn't understand. They'd probably think he was just some scared cat stuck in a tree. Oh wait, he WAS stuck. He had no idea how to get down!

Quaxo heard a voice off in the distance, it was a cat, of that he was certain but he couldn't quite make out what they were saying. He thought for a moment, it could be a trap, it could have nothing to do with him at all, he could walk into a situation that he didn't want to be in. So many possibilities. But...it could be Mungo.
He peered out from his hiding spot, looking around cautiously. He got up and walked out to where he thought the source of the noise was. His hair was on end, and his senses felt magnified; every sound was a gunshot every movement a striking snake. He found himself among trees, he called out softly...
"Hello?"

Mungo's ears twitched, hearing a tiny little voice. "Quaxo!?" he called out yet again. He shifted around in the tree, trying not to fall out. Sure it'd be a quick way to get down, but he didn't much feel like taking the risk. "Quaxo, where are you!?"

Quaxo ran up to the tree, that was definitely Mungo's voice he heard, this time he was sure. He looked up, seeing the calico amongst the branches and leaves. "Mungo," he called, "I'm down here. Thank goodness..." He cocked his head for a moment, "why are you up there?"

Mungo smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head. "Um... well... I came up 'ere cause I thought I'd be able ta find ya better... And, uh... now I'm stuck."

Quaxo arched an eyebrow, "can't you just...climb back down? I mean you got up there, you should be able to get down the same way right?"

Mungo was silent for a moment, "Um... well..." He carefully lowered one foot onto a branch below him. The branch creaked under the weight, so he quickly pulled back up. "I'm gonna fall 'n diiiie!" he whined. Funy thing, climbing up trees was easy. Getting back down... not so much.

Quaxo sighed, "I thought you were supposed to be the one saving me!" He walked up to the base of the tree and climbed up sitting beside Mungo.
"OK, so if I get down one way, then you can just follow me exactly where I step, right?"

Mungo pouted and nodded. He felt so silly for not being able to get down. "Okay, yeah... If ya can do it, I can do it."

Quaxo kissed Mungo, "don't feel bad, I think it's kind of cute."
He stepped down slowly onto the branch below, checking that it would hold his weight before lowering himself onto it. He continued this until there were no more branches, at which point he extended his claws, climbing down the trunk of the tree as humans do when rock climbing. Once at the bottom, he looked back up to check Mungo's progress.
"You can do it!"
